Valve is ramping up the pace for its Steam Deck deliveries. When can you expect to receive yours?

Released last February, Valve’s Steam Deck continues to be talked about for many reasons. If they are mostly good, it seems that players are starting to experience some frustration with the availability of the machine. Already limited from the outset, the success of the Steam Deck unfortunately got the better of it and made things even more complicated in this time of shortage.

Nevertheless, Valve being aware of the situation incumbent on it, the firm has taken the decision to accelerate the pace of deliveries. As we have just entered the second quarter, Valve announces that “we just sent out the first round of order emails to Q2 reservists (in order of reservation). Starting today, we’re ramping up Steam Deck shipments, and we’ll be sending out more order availability emails every week. Sometimes even twice a week!

More emails to more people

Until today, Valve proceeded to send a salvo of e-mails per week and this in very limited number. However, things should work out for second quarter pre-orders, provided you check your mailbox frequently! To do this, don’t forget to check your spam box and be very vigilant about phishing e-mails.

For all those who haven’t placed their pre-order yet, now is the time to do so.. For now, the Steam Deck product sheet indicates that pre-orders will be expected for the last part of the year, after October 2022. As a reminder, three versions of the Steam Deck are available to you.

The first version, the least expensive, gives you access to the entire Steam library and 64 GB of eMMC storage as well as the carrying case for €419. Then, for €549, you are entitled to 256 GB of NVMe SSD storage, as well as the exclusive Steam community profile bundle. Finally, the latest model costs €679 and gives you access to 512 GB of NVMe SSD storage, premium anti-reflective glass, an exclusive carrying case and an exclusive virtual keyboard theme too.

As for the dock, the latter, although it is included in the price of each Steam Deck, will not be available for a few more months. It will therefore be necessary to be patient to be able to connect your machine to a television or a monitor, and this in an optimal way.
