The platform will soon broadcast its adaptation of the phenomenon series Dix Pour Cent. There are beautiful people!
A real phenomenon in France, Ten percent also attracted the attention of foreign spectators. Its availability on Netflix has given it international exposure, to the point that many platforms and broadcasters are interested in it. Among them, Amazon Prime Video which has developed an English remake of the comedy worn by Camille Cottin and Grégory Montel.
As a reminder, Ten percent follows the agents of a Parisian impresario company. After the accidental death of its founder, the ASK agency has to face increasingly tough competition in its sector. Andréa, Mathias, Gabriel and Arlette must continue to develop the careers of their talents, of the big names in French cinema, while juggling delicate situations.
Several French celebrities took part in the game, starting with Cécile de France, who opened the series. Then, the spectators were able to discover Jean Dujardin, Gilles Lellouche or Fabrice Luchini in their own roles (with a little fiction all the same).
A British version
The plot of this adaptation should be much the same. Thus, we find Jack Davenport (The Morning Show) and Lydia Leonard (GentlemanJack) in the shoes of characters inspired by Mathias and Andréa. Maggie Steed (Fisherman’s Friends) will portray the British version of Arlette. We do not yet know who will play Jean Gabin, his four-legged friend who takes his name from the famous French actor.
On the celebrity side, there are also beautiful people. Jim Broadbent, inimitable father of Bridget Jones in the eponymous film will be there. We will also have to count on Dominic West (The Crown) and Kelly Macdonald (Nanny McPhee).
Fans of the actress will also be happy to discover Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) in a new light. Finally, Amazon Prime Video will visibly capitulate on the success of The Bridgerton Chronicle by inviting Phoebe Dynevor to the party.
The British actress caused a sensation as Daphne Bridgerton in the series developed by Netflix and Shondaland. As a reminder, the second season was released a few days ago on the platform. The arrival of Ten Percent is therefore timely.
In April on Amazon Prime Video
The appointment with Ten Percent is fixed at next April 28 on Amazon Prime Video. Note that this is far from the only adaptation project to see the light of day. A Quebec version has already been broadcast in Canada on the TVA channel. Adaptations are also in development in China, India and Italy.
